Welcome to Melody Ranch

Featuring expansive open lands, unparalleled views, and natural beauty, Melody Ranch is a sought-after Jackson Hole real estate offering. The development possesses a neighborhood feel and a strong sense of community, as most homeowners live in Melody Ranch year-round.

The history of Melody Ranch is deeply rooted in Jackson Hole’s past. In 1888, known as the township of Cheney, the area was one of the first established towns in the valley. During the 20th century, young Paul von Gontard visited the area, falling in love with the Teton views and open spaces. Later in his life, von Gontard returned to settle the land as a cattle ranch. Historical outbuildings and the main lodge exist on the property today and are attractively complemented by Melody Ranch’s modern home designs.

During the establishment of the subdivision, Melody Ranch’s developer strived to preserve both its closeness to nature and vast lands. The planned community began in 1995, adhering to a master plan that focused on maintaining open space. These areas today stretch over 70 percent of the residential neighborhood. The philosophy of the subdivision expresses the importance of protecting the views and landscape to enhance and secure Western values for living.

Because von Gontard insisted on preserving the area’s natural beauty, Teton and Snake River mountain views can still be enjoyed today and will be appreciated for many years to come. While continuing as a water source for the hay meadows of the ranch, Flat Creek also rambles through the development, attracting local wildlife. Much of Melody Ranch’s landscape includes cottonwood, spruce, and aspen trees, contributing to the homeowner’s sense of privacy.

Melody Ranch is an attractive real estate option thanks to its nearby bike paths, fishing ponds, play areas, and open fields. Many improvements within the development provide a backyard playground for those who live in the area. Just a few minutes away, the Town of Jackson provides a variety of convenient amenities, including schools, grocery stores, shops, and restaurants.

And, Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort are close by for additional enjoyment. However, being at home in Melody Ranch is equally as fulfilling as getting out in the valley. The views and surroundings are just the tip of the iceberg in Melody Ranch.
