Located at the base of Teton Village, with the sprawling Snake River Ranch to the south, Shooting Star’s master plan follows the fundamental concept that people will always be attracted to quality—whether it be a Tom Fazio core golf course, the incomparable skiing and snowboarding of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, a Class I trout stream, or 1300 acres of open space. To ensure that this quality endures, Shooting Star has developed architectural and landscape guidelines that allow for creative design while ensuring that each home complements the physical beauty and Western traditions of Jackson Hole.
Residential development is limited to a total of 100 home sites, 34 cabins and 48 townhouses, all on the northern portion of the property. The average lot site in Shooting Star is 1.3 acres in size, and most adjoin ponds, lakes or streams.
In addition to the Tom Fazio-designed golf course, residents and members can enjoy the year-round clubhouse that includes a dining room and bar, men’s and women’s locker rooms with relaxing lounges, an expansive variety of fitness facilities, a luxurious spa, and the Alpine Barn that provides ski and snowboard lockers with concierge services that connect directly to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The Barn also incorporates children’s activities and is a unique venue for social events with its own catering kitchen.
Outside the clubhouse, the facilities include a 25-meter tension edge lap pool, a kid’s pool, two year-round spas, a fire pit, and an event lawn. The clubhouse, golf pro shop (including a golf simulator), and Alpine Barn were designed by Hart Howerton—an internationally acclaimed land planning and architectural firm known for their unique solutions to challenges presented by working in natural and historic environments.
In the winter, the golf course becomes the valley’s premier Nordic ski facility, and the resort offers complimentary shuttles next door for the world’s best Alpine skiing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. In the summer, residents have limitless activities to choose from, including world-renowned fly fishing, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, ballooning, concerts, rodeos, fine dining, shopping, and more.
