Jackson Hole Mountain Resort at Teton Village
With over 2,500 acres of inspiring inbound terrain, a 4,139 ft. vertical rise, and an average of 450 inches of snowfall each winter, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers an incomparable winter experience. Two distinct mountains in the heart of the Tetons – Rendezvous and Après Vous – make up the inbound resort ski terrain, home to world-renowned skiing for the past 40 years. There are over 160 acres of snowmaking and the mountain welcomes snowboarders.
The resort recently invested $5+ million to make the mountain experience even better; including increased summer grooming that upgraded many beginner and intermediate trails. That’s on the heels of $31 million for the new Aerial Tram. The owners of the resort have invested over $125 million over the last 12 years; two times what the normal ski resort spends
And at the base of the resort ski area, Teton Village has seen similar growth and investment. Teton Village is 12 miles northwest of the town of Jackson and a 40 minute drive from Jackson Airport which offers non-stop service from Chicago and Dallas on American; from Denver, Chicago and Los Angeles on United; from Salt Lake City, Atlanta and Cincinnati on Delta. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is five hours drive northeast of Salt Lake City, UT and eight hours drive from Denver, CO.
Snow King Resort
Blocks from Jackson Hole’s town square, Snow King Mountain rises steeply into the blue winter sky, with stunning views of the valley and the Teton Mountain Range. In 1939 this mountain opened as Jackson’s first ski area and one of the first in the United States. Today, Snow King welcomes hopeful Olympians as a top training camp destination. This is one of the best and most challenging “local” hills in the country.
Grand Targhee Ski & Summer Resort
Located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in western Wyoming, the base of the ski area is at 8,000 ft. amidst the magnificent Teton Mountains, 45 minutes drive west of Jackson Hole, and 87 miles northeast of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Grand Targhee is famous for consistently superb powder snow conditions with over 500 inches annually of the light fluffy stuff.
